UGM Students Launch 5th Generation Electric Car Arjuna IPC

The fifth generation electric car from Indonesia's best child's work from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) student, Yogyakarta, was launched last Friday.

The launch of an electric car called "Arjuna IPC" is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility work program of PT Indonesia Vehicle Terminal (IKT) in the series of Closing Ceremony PPSMB Palapa 2017.

'Arjuna IPC' will be the proud mascot of Arjuna team and Gadjah Mada University participated in the Student Formula competition in Japan which will take place in September 2017 in Shizouka, Japan.

The launch of this electric car was held at Pancasila Square Graha Sabha Pramana, Gadjah Mada University marked by symbolic cutting of ribbon by Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. Panut Mulyono accompanied by Director of PT IKT, Chiefy Adi Kusmargono witnessed by thousands of new students of UGM, Gamada (Gadjah Mada Muda).

This historic momentum is utilized by Arjuna team to gain the prayer and support from the audience in attendance. In addition, Arjuna team also campaigned for environmentally friendly missions because electric cars do not emit exhaust emissions in its use.

The car is designed as seapik possible, because this year is the first time Team Arjuna follow the competition in the International class.

Not only that, Arjuna team managed to hold the title as the only representative of Indonesia who had the opportunity to side with the advanced countries in the Formula Japan 2017 Student event.

To be known, PT IKT itself became the main sponsor, besides Suzuki, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Tanoto Foundation, BNI, Grave Travelindo, PT YPTI, Bender, PT PJB, and PT UNISEM
